Overview
Designed a Workato automation to orchestrate new employee onboarding across Workday, Okta, Slack, and NetSuite — ensuring every new hire was fully provisioned across systems within hours of their start date.
What I Built
- Workday new hire event trigger initiating the cross-department onboarding pipeline
- Automated Okta identity provisioning with dynamic, role-based application group assignments
- Slack user account creation, departmental channel joins, and automated welcome onboarding messages
- NetSuite employee record setup with department, subsidiary, and cost center hierarchy mapping
- Automated IT hardware and equipment requisition ticket generation in Jira Service Management
Architecture
Constructed a master orchestration recipe utilizing parallel execution branches for each target system. Integrated resilient error-handling blocks that capture and log isolated provisioning issues to an IT operations dashboard without halting downstream provisioning steps for other platforms.
