Overview
Designed and implemented a reusable EDI onboarding framework in Boomi, enabling the client to onboard new retail trading partners in days rather than weeks.
What I Built
- Reusable Boomi process templates for 850 (Purchase Order), 856 (Ship Notice/ASN), 810 (Invoice), and 820 (Payment Order) transaction sets
- Standardized AS2 and SFTP connectivity profiles per trading partner
- Functional acknowledgment (997) auto-generation and status reconciliation pipeline
- Trading partner test scripts, mapping guidelines, and onboarding documentation
- Centralized exception handling with automated email alerts and ticketing system notifications
Architecture
Built a template-driven framework where each new trading partner inherits from a shared canonical base process. Onboarding requires only configuring partner-specific connection profiles and translation maps rather than creating net-new integrations, reducing implementation time by ~80% per partner.
