| Role: Integration Infrastructure Architect | Platform: AWS |
| Industry: Cross-Industry / Platform Engineering | Duration: ~6 Months |
Overview
Designed and deployed the AWS infrastructure supporting enterprise iPaaS workloads, including Boomi Atom hosting, secure connectivity to on-premises systems, and a centralized logging and monitoring stack.
What I Built
- Multi-node Boomi Molecule clustered runtime hosted on Amazon EC2 with Auto Scaling groups
- Site-to-Site IPSec VPN tunnels linking AWS VPC to on-premise data center applications
- Centralized integration log forwarding, metrics collection, and alerting in Amazon CloudWatch
- Secure S3 staging repository replacing vulnerable, unmonitored legacy SFTP servers
- Granular AWS IAM policies, service roles, and security groups enforcing least-privilege access
- Decoupled asynchronous event pipeline utilizing Amazon SNS and SQS for integration buffers
Architecture
Architected a highly secure VPC leveraging private subnet isolation for the Boomi Molecule runtime nodes. Connectivity to AWS native storage (S3) and messaging services (SQS/SNS) was routed privately over VPC endpoints, minimizing public internet exposure while maintaining resilient, low-latency communication with on-premises core systems.
Tech Stack
Outcome: Platform supported 60+ production integrations with 99.9% uptime over 18 months. Infrastructure costs reduced vs. prior on-premises Atom hosting.
